Obituary for Edgar McManmie

91 year old, Edgar W McManmie of Herrick Illinois, died Saturday, December, 26, at 6:23 PM, in his residence. Edgar W McManmie was born Monday, August 19, 1918, in Stonington, Illinois. The son of Beve Henry and Edna May (maiden name Walker) McManmie. Soon after Edgar’s birth the family moved to Herrick where Edgar attended school. A veteran of the United States Army, Edgar served in Panama during WW II as a medic. He worked for Concordia Printing St Louis for 38 years in the shipping department retiring in 1978. He was a member of the Sarver-Guthrie Post American Legion, Herrick Illinois.

He is survived by his niece and caretaker Yvonne Mathias, and husband Jerry of Herrick.
Brothers: Joe McManmie, wife Florence of Overland Missouri, and Roger McManmie, wife Chris of Springfield Missouri. Sisters: Christine Woehr of St Louis Missouri, and Violet McManmie of Herrick, along with many loving nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a Brother Lionel McManmie, and two Sisters: Rose Hooper, and Mary Walker.
