Bonnie Munson, 87 of Pana, Illinois and formerly of Lakewood, Illinois died Monday, May 2, 2022 at 2:15 AM at her residence in Pana. Funeral services will be Monday, May 9, 2022 at 10:30 AM at Kennedy & Sons Funeral Home, Pana with Phillip Glick officiating. Visitation will also be at Kennedy & Sons Funeral Home on Monday, May 9, 2022,beginning at 9:00 AM until time of Service. Burial will be in Ridge Cemetery, Williamsburg Hill, Lakewood Illinois. Bonnie Munson was born Monday, October 1, 1934 in Colorado the daughter of Charles Ernest and Velma Lois (maiden name Carey) Gaston. She was raised in Lakewood, Illinois and attended grade and high schools there. Bonnie Louise Gaston married Martin Ellis ”Jack” Munson in 1955, and he died in May, 1997. She was a Certified Nurse’s Aide for many years at Shelby Memorial Hospital. Bonnie Munson is survived by Daughter: Becky Sue Munson Beck Miller (Alva) of Pana; Sons: Dwane Munson of Pana and formerly of Lakewood; and John Munson (Sherri) of Bethany, Illinois; Seven (7) Grandchildren; Seventeen (17) Great-Grandchildren; Twelve (12) Great-Great-Grandchildren; Sister Patricia Bird of Cowden, Illinois; and Brother: Darrell Gaston (Karen) of Shelbyville, Illinois. She is preceded in death by Parents, Husband: Jack; Brothers: Charles, David, and Gary Gaston; Sisters: Betty Gouty, Ella Mae Adams, and Peggy Hakenjos.
